PBR World Finals in Las Vegas

Just returned from Las Vegas and the PBR World Finals. Even though my favorite rider did not win, we had a great time. Renato Nunes won the World Championship as well as the Finals average. The winning bull was Bushwacker. I was fortunate enough to win jackpots at Paris Hotel where we stayed this year. It was a fabulous trip. Pat and I got to eat at a place in Boulder City that he had seen on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives called "The Coffee Cup" and it was great. We also had excellent food at the Bootlegger! And, those of you who know us, know that Pat does not feel he has been to Vegas unless we visit the Fremont Experience at least once or twice!! Las Vegas has several new hotels and more are being built. It seems there is not much of a building slump. The Cosmopolitan is opening in December. Of course, since last year when we were there, Aria and the City Center had opened, and the Beach Club at the Wynn had also been built. One place I missed going on this trip, however, was the Venetian. We usually eat there at least once and I shop for the grandgirls at the Carnivale shop there. We did get to see the fountains several times at the Bellagio, though. Of course, since that is my favorite thing in Vegas, I loved that. We went to see the Terry Fator show with all his puppets. That man is so talented. It is just phenomenal the way he can impersonate other singers through his puppets and sound just like the other people--yet not move his mouth. I am amazed. If you get a chance to see him, take it!!
